Directioneering Opens New Office in New Zealand

Leading career management firm, Directioneering, has announced the opening of a new office in Wellington to support the current growth in demand for its services. The company will also open an office in Singapore, with both offices extending Directioneering’s Asia-Pacific reach.

In another announcement, the company has appointed Ted Davies as Chairman of Directioneering International, following the retirement of Frederick Davidson. Mr Davies previously was Director of Development at Directioneering International, and formerly Executive Vice-President, Asia Pacific, Right Management.

“Expanding our presence in the Asia-Pacific region will enable us to provide more accessible and responsive consultancy to our clients – particularly in financial services, property, professional services and technology,” said Mr Davies.

“There is currently considerable movement in these sectors and we are working with several major corporations to successfully manage their transition requirements.”

Mr Davies cited tough market conditions as partly fuelling the company’s current growth.

He said that during difficult times – which often herald a slowdown – companies particularly recognise the increased need for one-to-one, tailor-made support for senior executives managing their careers, rather than commoditised, impersonal assistance.

“The opening of our two new regional offices, each under the guidance of extremely experienced, well-regarded leaders, will give us the additional resources we need to cater to our clients’ individual needs,” said Mr Davies.

Mark Orson, National Business Director, NZ will head up Directioneering in Wellington. He has worked extensively with clients in New Zealand, Australia, and Asia on career strategy, organisational development, company culture, and has supported clients navigating change, large-scale mergers and acquisitions. Mark was previously Business Development Director in New Zealand and Sydney with Right Management.

“In New Zealand, we see enormous growth potential for our services, particularly within the government sector, where we already undertake significant work,” said Mr Davies.
