Affordable new social media solution for NZ businesses
Social Kiwi launches affordable new social media solution for New Zealand businesses
Social Kiwi, one of New Zealand’s leading providers of social media marketing, has officially launched an application this week making it easier for businesses to build interactive Facebook pages quickly, accurately and at an affordable price.
Social Kiwi Director & Founder Joshua Woodham is the mastermind behind bringing this new product innovation to the New Zealand market.
Woodham who began his social media career with one of the world’s largest social networks, Bebo, has devised the application to suit the kiwi SME business market after researching in the United States.
Called ‘Facebook DIY’ (Do It Yourself), this unique offering means businesses can maximize their presence and promotion in the social media environment at an affordable rate of just $50+GST for the first page per month and any additional pages will be $35+GST per month.
“I found that businesses wanted to run promotions but couldn’t afford the $1000 + price tag some agencies were charging. What this did was force many businesses to “do it themselves” and many of the tactics they used went against Facebook guidelines for business pages and they were getting themselves into real trouble,” said Mr Woodham.
There were many cases of some businesses receiving warnings from Facebook and in some instances Fan pages were shut down as they were running promotions that did not adhere to the Facebook promotion guidelines.
“For example many business owners don’t know that you can’t simply ask users to like your page to win something – If you want to run a promotion, you must collect the users contact details such as email address so you can contact the winner,” he said.
“To overcome this I knew that it was in my vested interest as part of being a socially responsible company to find an application that could work and so the new unique offering of Facebook DIY is the perfect solution.”
“It means anyone can use it, they don’t need coding skills at all, in fact they don’t even really need design skills as there are plenty of templates for people to use, however design skills can enhance what you do.”
The DIY Social Kiwi system is user friendly and alongside the official launch a promotional video and webcast videos will be available to up-skill customers on how to best use the new solution.
There is also a ‘live chat’ incorporated into the system for anyone that needs additional help and Social Kiwi is on hand if people want to call or email to ensure they are doing the right thing.
“Social media is not only changing the way we do business, it is also changing how we do business, using the right applications to get them there like Social Kiwi’s Facebook DIY Product has got to be the way to go,” said Mr Woodham.
Approximately 2 million Kiwis are on Facebook, now with Facebook’s Business Pages, New Zealand businesses can showcase their companies, products and brands closer to customers at a faster pace than ever before.
