AGMARDT principal sponsor of Primary Sector Boot Camp
AGMARDT is delighted to be a principal sponsor of the Primary Sector Boot Camp officially launched today, which is the first grant to be awarded under AGMARDT’s new strategic priority for In-Market Grants.
The boot camp is a private sector-led chief executive forum designed to unlock the global potential of New Zealand’s primary sector through collaboration and stronger strategic alignment.
Jeff Grant, Chairman of the AGMARDT Board of Trustees, regards the Primary Sector Boot Camp as an ideal fit under AGMARDT’s new strategic priorities.
“A key outcome of the boot camp is to explore and drive in-market collaboration within New Zealand’s primary sector, which is strongly aligned with AGMARDT’s new strategy to fund activities that enable New Zealand agribusiness to identify and explore potential opportunities within the global marketplace,” said Mr Grant.
The week-long boot camp will be held at the acclaimed Stanford University campus in Silicon Valley, California, which is one of the world’s leading research institutions.
More than 20 chief executives from New Zealand’s leading and emerging primary sector organisations representing dairy, beef, sheep, seafood, viticulture and horticulture will come together to collaborate and align resources in order to strengthen New Zealand’s primary industry for the future.
“The willingness by senior industry leaders to be involved in the boot camp to discuss and explore strategies for greater collaboration and alignment across a wide range of primary industries is extremely encouraging,” said Mr Grant.
Other supporters of the Primary Sector Boot Camp are the Ministry of Science and Innovation, the Ministry for Primary Industries, and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
