Polycom Opens New Unified Communications and Video Collaboration Solution Centre in Auckland, New Zealand

Polycom expands presence in New Zealand in response to increasing demand for unified communications solutions. New Centre offers customers hands-on experience with latest UC and video solutions, from Polycom® RealPresence™ Platform to immersive room systems, mobile, social and cloud applications

Polycom, Inc., (NASDAQ: PLCM) the global leader in standards-based unified communications (UC), today announced that it has established a new Solutions Centre and office in New Zealand, located in Auckland’s Central Business District (CBD).

According to the 2011 Frost & Sullivan NZ Unified Communications market report, New Zealand’s unified communications sector was worth $113.3 million in 2010 and is forecast to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 9.3% between 2011 and 2017, of which the growth of the video conferencing and collaboration sector is forecast at a CAGR of 15.6%.

Responding to New Zealand’s growing demand for unified communications and video collaboration solutions, the Solutions Centre showcases the latest video, cloud and mobility solutions.
