Customs most attractive public service employer
Customs has been voted New Zealand’s Most Attractive Employer for the public sector in the Randstad awards.
The organisation was also named the third most attractive company to work for in the overall awards category.
Group Manager Airports, Phil Chitty said the awards were a fantastic achievement that show how well respected the Customs Service is.
“These awards reflect the quality of our services and show how well thought of we are as an organisation,” Mr Chitty says.
“The Customs brand is highly visible at all New Zealand international airports and ports. This award highlights the importance of our border security work and role Customs plays in facilitating legitimate trade and travel”.
More than 7,000 New Zealanders between the ages of 18 and 65 voted in this year’s online survey that canvassed views on the New Zealand’s largest companies. The selection of winners is based on the appeal of the employer’s brand.
Randstad is the second largest employment consultant company in the world. The Randstad awards are internationally renowned and have been awarded for many years in European and Asian countries.
The Randstad Award is presented to the most attractive employer in 40 countries around the world. This is the second year that New Zealand has participated in the awards.
