Igloo
Celebrates Commerce Commission
Decision
General Manager of IGLOO Chaz
Savage is delighted with the Commerce Commission’s
decision that IGLOO’s joint venture is not
anti-competitive and does not breach the Commerce Act.
Savage says the outcome is what they
were hoping for: “This is a fantastic outcome not just for
us at IGLOO but for all Kiwis. Our free to air + pre-pay TV
option will offer more choice and greater flexibility and we
believe kiwis will embrace this concept in the coming weeks.
Better still, IGLOO will be delivered at a great price and
with no long term contracts. Consumer demands are changing
and IGLOO reflects this. And with the country on the cusp of
going digital IGLOO is the perfect option for so many
Kiwis.
“We’re really excited to be
offering something that is the first of its kind! It’s a
hybrid of the very best entertainment options – free to
air, fantastic paid content including sport, and streamed
content straight to your
TV.”
