Who are our killer exporters?

Finalists have been selected for the five categories in the BNZ Bay of Plenty ExportNZ Awards 2012.

ExportNZ BOP Executive Officer Angela Wallace says ‘there is already a buzz surrounding this year’s awards, with tickets selling out within 48 hours’ The theme Cluedo ‘Who are the Bay of Plenty’s killer exporters’ has obviously struck a chord in the export community.

Judging coordinator Hugh King says that the 2012 Export Awards ‘has again attracted a high caliber of successful BOP exporters who have survived and grown in the high dollar environment. The finalists reflect a broad portfolio of products, services, innovation and global markets. These are our tall poppies and it great to see them and their teams recognized’.

Finalists in the BNZ Bay of Plenty ExportNZ Awards are:

The United Travel Corporate Emerging Exporter of the Year Award:

The Page Macrae Innovation Award:
• Deepseed Ltd

The Bay of Plenty Polytechnic Export Achievement Award:

• Glenn Purcell – Automation & Electronics

ZESPRI International Service to Export Award: the winner is a secret until the awards night.

The Sharp Tudhope Exporter of the Year Award:

Finalists will be celebrated at a function for ExportNZ BOP members on Thursday the 24th of May at the BNZ Partners Business Centre in Tauranga.

Winners will be announced at the annual awards celebration at Baypark Function Centre in Mt Maunganui on Friday June 29, with MC for the evening Te Radar returning for the second time.

As usual the event promises be a celebration of export business success as well as a fantastically good time!
