Wellington to Host 2012 Air New Zealand Wine Awards
New Zealand Winegrowers has announced today that Wellington will play host to the 2012 Air New Zealand Wine Awards Dinner. The Awards Dinner, which will see New Zealand’s top winemakers and industry figures gather in celebration of top quality wine productions, will be held on Saturday 24 November.
The Air New Zealand Wine Awards is New Zealand’s most prestigious wine awards competition, attracting entries from around the country. The competition’s top prize, the Air New Zealand Champion Wine of Show Trophy, is hotly contested. Eighteen additional trophies are also up for grabs including the new O-I Reserve Wine of Show Trophy.
Judging will take place at Mount Smart Stadium in Auckland from 5-7 November 2012, with a new Chair of Judges, Michael Brajkovich. All entries from 2010, 2011 and 2012 vintage must be 100% sustainable.
