TVNZ gets behind new small business event
TVNZ, New Zealand’s leading television and digital media company, and XPO Exhibitions have partnered in a major new national business event for small and medium enterprises.
“MyBiz Expo launches in October in Auckland and is designed to give the country’s SMEs a platform to compare their current business service supplier and learn about new business tools for success,” says XPO Exhibitions Director Brent Spillane. “Their media partnership demonstrates a strong level of confidence in the format of the MyBiz Expo event. It gives TVNZ a chance to reach thousands of Kiwi SMEs face-to-face over 3 days and educate them on the success stories of SMEs using TV to market their products.”
Tony Waite GM Media Sales at TVNZ says, “The MyBiz Expo partnership provides TVNZ with a great opportunity to reach business owners, gain an indepth understanding of their business challenges and demonstrate how TVNZ can help them overcome those challenges by developing an advertising solution that delivers true ROI. Television is a powerful advertising medium that needn’t be cost prohibitive and through MyBiz Expo we will showcase at the event the power of TV, the benefits in advertising with TVNZ and good reasons to consider TV for their business.”
Many other business service segments will exhibit including but not limited to leading power companies, telcos, banks, freight and print industry companies – all looking to reach the thousands of SME owners and managers comparing suppliers or looking at additional products/services that may help grow their business. XPO Exhibitions Director Brent Spillane says “Businesses are always looking for a return on their investment, and MyBiz Expo will help them achieve that, as well as explore things such as the relevance of advertising on TVNZ, that they might not have thought about before.”
XPO Exhibitions is the ideal organizer for MyBiz Expo, being the largest and longest-running B2B exhibition organizer. “We know that the country’s 500,000-plus business owners don’t have the time or resources to research whether their existing providers are ‘best in market’ for price and service. To help them out, this New Zealand-first initiative was launched. More than 120,000 business operators have attended our many business sector events and we’ll be making sure that they all know about MyBiz Expo and how they can register for free entry.”
“TVNZ will help us cast an even wider national SME awareness of the event. Visitors will be able to go from supplier to supplier at the event and analyse features and benefits, and exhibitors will have the opportunity to do face-to-face business and put together mutually-beneficial deals.”
“At MyBiz Expo you can bring in a pile of your bills and compare the offerings of different providers to make your bills smaller and your business bigger – on the spot,” continues Brent Spillane. “There will also be a valuable programme of business seminars and networking opportunities.”
“The event will attract thousands of business owners over three days in October. Commitment to exhibit has already been made across leading telcos, power companies, insurers, e-commerce and IT companies who will exhibit their wares and demonstrate what they offer business owners.”
Brent Spillane says that while SMEs can use the event for price checking there’s far more to it than that. “MyBiz Expo will also inform and educate on new product offerings like new high speed broadband solutions and TV advertising that may be new investments for business but can deliver significantly for SME businesses. The show’s tagline says it all: ‘make your bills smaller (and/or) make your business bigger’.”
Supporting New Zealand businesses is important to TVNZ, and the innovative digital media company believes that MyBiz Expo is a valuable business tool that will help the country’s many small but vital enterprises flourish. The company is ensuring that the event gets high profile coverage, and will be giving away to one lucky visitor, live on air, a brand-new Ford Falcon, supplied by Ford New Zealand who are also partnering and exhibiting at MyBiz.
Business owners and managers visiting MyBiz Expo will have the process of making new supplier and business contacts made easy, say Brent Spillane. “TVNZ, like other major exhibitors and brands already on board, will get to engage face to face with thousands of business owners and electronically record that engagement to follow-up afterwards.”
“If you provide products or services to SMEs you should consider exhibiting to your current and future customers at MyBiz Expo.”
MyBiz Expo runs from 14-16 October 2012 at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane. Entry is free to registered business owners, managers and representatives. There is more information for both visitors and suppliers wishing to exhibit at www.mybizexpo.co.nz
