Council website promotes Selwyn residential sections
Sections for sale and land zoned for residential subdivision are now loaded on the Selwyn District Council’s website (www.selwyn.govt.nz/landavailability) to help potential buyers see at a glance what’s available.
The Council has worked with developers to provide an up-to-date online map of residential housing developments, with contact details for developers with sections for sale, Selwyn Mayor Kelvin Coe says.
"The map on the website has pop-up information for each development. It outlines the name of the development, the address, the number of sections, the number sold and what is still available, based on information provided by the developer,” he says.
Mayor Coe says enough land has been rezoned in Lincoln and Rolleston to provide approximately 8800 sections over the next 30 years. The council is currently working on releasing a further 1300 sections in Prebbleton.
The website also has information on Selwyn’s planning and subdivision processes and includes driving distances from Russley, Hornby or Halswell.
Many subdivisions are staged, so the website will show the sections available as well as an indication of how many sections will be developed over time.
Individual sections for sale outside these developments are not listed.
Developers with subdivisions of five sections or more are invited to email land@selwyn.govt.nz with details to get their developments listed.
