Local business leaders inspired by Kiwi success story

Manawatu business leadership group Three Keys hosted a networking and professional development function yesterday evening. Business coach Sue Lindsay spoke at the FMG stadium.

Over 100 local businesspeople attended, according to one of Three Keys founding members, Aaron Armstrong. “This was one of our biggest turnouts so far, which is an indication of the value that our local businesses people place on professional development and leadership training. We intend to grow the network by bringing some of the finest business minds to the Manawatu,” he said.

Sue Lindsay is sought after internationally as a motivational speaker, business coach and mentor. Her impressive career includes doubling the revenue of Combined Rural Traders, now a Top 200 New Zealand business. Her accolades include winning New Zealand Young Executive of the Year, Southlander of the Year and the World Young Business Achievers award in Beijing.

Sue shared her formula for success in life, leadership and business and revealed it’s all about “People, passion and the power of a dream”. Other audience favourites were her research on the power of the female economy and Generation Y, the need for clarity and the importance of relationships for leadership.

Communications student, Andrea Brewster, said Sue’s talk was inspirational. “She was engaging and fresh, with such a wealth of knowledge but still very down to earth. It’s awesome to hear such a successful Kiwi share her story, so it’s great Three Keys brought her to the Manawatu business community”.

Sue will be holding a workshop on June 28 for more intimate professional coaching and development. For more information or to register for the next event, go to www.3keys.co.nz. The next Three Keys speaker will be Xero accountancy founder Hamish Edwards on July 12.
