New appointment signals New Zealand growth for Allianz Global Assistance
Insurance industry entrepreneur Phil Hibbert has been appointed to head up the New Zealand operations for the speciality insurance and assistance provider, Allianz Global Assistance.
Stepping into the newly created role of Executive Manager, Phil will lead the growing New Zealand team of 15 which includes business development, account management and an Auckland based claims management team.
Phil takes the reins at Allianz Global Assistance New Zealand with 15 years experience in the insurance industry working for industry giants such as GE Finance and IAG and proving his expertise in business development with start-up business concepts DriveRight and Covernow.
Allianz Global Assistance is well established in the New Zealand market as a provider of travel insurance and emergency medical insurance to business clients such as House of Travel, Expedia, Webjet and 1Cover. Hibbert says the brand name will soon be more familiar among consumers as the company embarks on a period of growth in New Zealand.

Allianz Global Assistance core services include Health and Lifecare assistance services, travel insurance and emergency medical insurance, overseas student health insurance and roadside assistance.
