Design Matters at Y&R

Design Matters at Y&R

Y&R has added the talents of Senior Designer Scott Crickett, and Senior Digital Developer Mark Coleman, further strengthening the growing design department.

Musonda Katongo, Head of Design:

“Scott and Mark joining is a real score for our team. These two are good guys that are great at what they do, and they'll help us provide even greater design thinking and craft to our client's brands and communications.”

Scott is a native Aucklander, but has spent the last 12 years working on a several high-profile brands, at agencies big and small. From here to Melbourne, London, Edinburgh and finally back again. He has recently been contracting through The Pond, after 3 years at digital communications agency The Church where he worked on Telecom, Gen-i, PWC, Chapman Trip, and Mediaworks.

Scott can work across all media from print to digital, animation to environmental graphics - but his main focus is the conceptual thinking that informs good design.

Mark joins Y&R’s Auckland office as Senior Digital Developer, having recently returned from the UK. There he worked for a number of companies, both large and boutique, as a freelance digital developer. He added international brands such as Disney, Microsoft, Virgin Media and Heineken to his portfolio.

Mark began his career in film and television before crossing over to digital media. He loves storytelling and enjoys the challenge of weaving this art into all forms of digital media - from websites and banners to interactive applications. He loves keeping abreast of new developments in technology and figuring out new ways of incorporating these into his projects.

Josh Moore ECD:

“The increasing investment in our design department is a direct response to the growing demand from our clients for the exceptional work that Musonda’s team have delivered.”
