Dr Barbara Disley appointed Chief Executive of
Richmond New Zealand Trust
Dr Barbara Disley has been
appointed as Chief Executive of the Richmond New Zealand
Trust, the non-government organisation that provides
community-based mental health and disability support
services countrywide.
Dr Disley’s previous roles include Chair of the Mental Health Commission, Chief Executive of the Mental Health Foundation and Deputy Secretary of Education.
Richmond New Zealand Chairman Ken Daniels said: “We are very pleased to announce Dr Disley’s appointment. She has held highly influential leadership roles in mental health in New Zealand as well as having extensive experience in education, social welfare and justice sectors.
“Richmond New Zealand Trust is in a strong position and Dr Disley has the skills, experience and knowledge to build on the very good work that has been done and steer the organisation through the challenges and changes required to adapt to significant policy changes in the Government and NGO sectors.”
Dr Disley will take over from Interim Chief Executive John Luhrs on August 6.
