'Outstanding' Strategic Framework Earns Debtworks place in AUT Business Awards Finals
Boutique credit management agency and call centre, Debtworks New Zealand, used the impact of the global financial crisis as its motivation to reassess how it did business, and after five years of implementing its new strategic framework, this ‘can do’ company has tripled in size. Debtworks’ strong performance has been recognised by its selection as one of three finalists in the ‘Business <$5million turnover, Accounting & Finance’ category in the 2012 AUT Excellence in Business Support Awards’.
Debtworks CEO and Director Operations, Bruce Cross says Debtworks is delighted to be a finalist.
“Five years ago we
set about identifying what foundations we needed to be true
industry leaders. The global financial crisis had impacted
on the amount of debt available and caused a loss of 25% of
our business when numerous finance companies collapsed. We
recognised that in going through this loss we needed to do
something different.
“It made us strategically focus
on what we needed for a strong foundation that established a
framework based around values and standards. Our entry in
the Awards is not about our growth but about the framework
we are using to create that growth.
“Our new strategic
framework, which we capture with one word -
‘Outstanding’, has allowed our team to create a culture
that develops, understands and executes the right strategies
at the right time. That framework has allowed Debtworks to
triple its staff and revenue since 2007.”
Debtworks, with offices in Dunedin, Ashburton, Christchurch, Tauranga and Head Office in Te Atatu, Auckland, delivers a full range of credit management, loan portfolio management, debt collection and litigation support services to SMEs, Multinationals, for public and private sector organisations and across multiple industries.
David Young, Debtworks Director Sales says, “We are more than a debt collection agency. Using two brands – Debtworks and Creditbiz we offer our clients’ genuine service delivery choices that are truly tailor-made solutions unique to their business.
“Debtworks is thrilled to receive the public recognition that comes from being selected as a finalist in AUT’s prestigious industry awards.”
All winners in the 2012 AUT Excellence in Business Support Awards will be announced in October at a black-tie gala dinner in Auckland. The Supreme Award will be chosen from the category winners.
