Apollo sweeps APMA Star Awards with 7 wins
Apollo Marketing has dominated the Australasian Promotional Marketing Association (APMA) Star Awards again in 2012, taking home six category awards after being named a finalist in 11 categories.
This includes three Gold awards for the VB Best Cold Gear campaign for Carlton United Breweries, one of the most awarded campaigns of the night.
At last night’s APMA Star Awards ceremony, Apollo’s winning campaigns were:
Gold
· Best Brand Building Campaign – VB Best Cold Gear
· Best Activity Generating Brand Loyalty - VB Best Cold Gear
· Most Innovative Idea/Concept – VB Best Cold Gear
Silver
· Best Cause or Charity-related Promotional Campaign – VB Raise A Glass
· Best Integrated Campaign over $1m – Heineken Rugby World Cup
· Best Small Budget Campaign under $75k – Tiger Year of the Dragon
Paul Dobbin, Creative Director for Apollo in NZ, picked up the agency’s 7th award for the night winning Best Dressed Man.
David Fish, MD of Activations for Apollo’s parent company Aegis Media, said the wins were hugely rewarding for the entire Apollo team.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to have our work recognised as best in class again by the industry in 2012,” he said. “Apollo has a proud history of outstanding achievement in the promotional and shopper marketing field. We’re fortunate to continue to work with incredible brands and clients that allow us to push the boundaries to deliver such high calibre work. We’re honoured by last night’s results.”
The APMA Star Awards recognise the best work in the Promotional Marketing field across Australia and New Zealand.
Apollo has been named B&T’s Promotional Agency of the Year for the past two years and continues to be Asia Pacific’s most awarded promotional and shopper agency. It has offices in Auckland, Melbourne and Sydney with clients including Carlton United Breweries, Vodafone, Smith’s, DB Breweries, Sara Lee, Kellogg’s, Crown Casino and Coca-Cola.
