Sentia Media appoints
new General Manager in New
Zealand
Asia-Pacific’s leading media intelligence company, Sentia Media, formerly the Media Monitors group, is pleased to welcome David Schnellenberg as its new General Manager in New Zealand with overall responsibility for the company’s operations around the country.
For the past 20 years David has held senior marketing communication positions in New Zealand’s public and private sectors. Most recently he was the External Communications Manager for New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. David was also a former Brand and Communications Manager for New Zealand’s largest energy company, Meridian Energy. From 2000 – 2007 David was General Manager for leading brand strategy and design company, Maxim Group.
David brings a strong customer focus and deep understanding of the communications and marketing needs of Sentia Media clients. Immediately following the catastrophic Christchurch earthquake, David volunteered to assist the Civil Defence emergency response operations. Because of his experience as a former Director of Public Affairs and Communications for the Ministry of Emergency Management, David was put in charge of managing the large media contingent, including organising press conferences and media tours to the most damaged areas of the city centre. In the eight days he was there over 1000 media (from New Zealand and around the world) passed through Christchurch. David says that this was one of the most rewarding and emotionally demanding things he has ever done.
David assumes responsibility for Sentia Media’s operations in New Zealand which includes providing corporate, government and not-for-profit organisations customised media intelligence services through Media Monitors, quick and effective tracking solutions with Slice, online business intelligence expertise through Brandtology, and specialist media coverage analysis and counsel with 360m, the world's most awarded media analysis and measurement company 2010 – 2012.
David said, “I’m excited to be at the helm of this country’s leading media intelligence company and look forward to meeting the challenge of offering our clients the most timely and relevant insights amid a continually changing media landscape.”
