Havaianas Summer 2012-13
Havaianas Summer 2012/13
2012 marks Havaianas 50th birthday, but this summer’s collection is no ‘over-the-hill’ offering… it’s fun, fresh and new. Of course there’s the old classics but get ready to celebrate summer with new shapes, colours and prints on your feet.
An iconic cultural fixture in NZ, the jandal is this season emblazoned with animal print, asian florals, glow in the dark, geometric design, linear, graffiti prints, monochromatic photos, neons, flowers, anchors, dinosaurs, crystals… there’s something in there for everyone from the conservative to the bold.
Jandal, thong, flip-flop, sandal… whatever you may call them, the new collection is almost representative of the four corners of the earth that you can now find Havaianas in. East meets west with cherry blossoms and street art. The slim ‘Morocco’ and the ‘Marrakesh’ and likely to be hot sellers this summer with an almost reptilian print take on these culture’s motifs. The ‘Rio’ features a nostalgic monochromatic photo print of surfer and sea, and the ‘Na Rua’ a watercolour explosion of brights and swirls.
Whether you want to blend in or stand out in the crowd, there’s something for everyone from Havaianas.
