AA Tourism Takes Flight with Qantas

Auckland, 20 July 2012 – AA Tourism together with Qantas are pleased to announce an exciting new partnership which will offer considerable benefits for all AA Members.

More than one million AA Members and AA Smartfuel cardholders are invited to take up the offer of complimentary Qantas Frequent Flyer membership. They will also receive fuel discounts in New Zealand when booking return flights to Australia with Qantas via a dedicated online booking engine at www.qantas.com/aatourism.

Widening its focus beyond domestic tourism under a new Qantas partnership, AA Tourism will further enhance its offering to its membership base. Peter Blackwell, CEO AA Tourism, says the alignment with Qantas is a demonstration of AA Tourism’s intent to inspire New Zealanders to explore Australia.

“Qantas is the perfect partner to introduce Australian travel opportunities to our Kiwi Members.

“Being able to take advantage of competitive fares while earning AA Smartfuel discounts and receiving the full service quality of Qantas provides real value to our Members.’’

Qantas Regional General Manager New Zealand and Pacific Islands, Rohan Garnett says the partnership is a significant development in expanding Qantas’ commitment to New Zealand.

“Qantas and AA Tourism have formed a landmark partnership with the goal of creating more compelling travel opportunities for Kiwis to experience all that Australia and indeed Qantas have to offer.
