Innovations Centre
Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi has reached a new
threshold in its proposal to establish an Innovation Centre
in Ahuriri. We have concept and design teams who have been
asked to provide firm proposals to the Ngāti Kahungunu
Board at their August meeting. Included in those proposals
is a project to enable high tech communications with our
hapū iwi and wider community by using info technology and
digital services These services will enable the community to
access information online at all times. The project
‘think’ tank has concluded that it will be in the mutual
interest of the community and iwi to trial ways in which
these services can be delivered. The ‘think’ tank
comprises iwi and hapū members, architects, designers and
engineers, and also support from E.I.T Hawke’s Bay, Napier
City Council, financial consultants and local business
owners.
