Gull Hold
Prices For 24 Hours Despite Excise Tax Increase
Auckland, 1
August 2012 – Gull confirmed that it will be
holding current pump prices until at least tomorrow. This is
despite a number of the majors increasing prices by 2c a
litre today following an increase in excise tax.
Graham Stirk, Gull Retail Manager, says that as a New Zealand based, family owned business the company strives to go the extra mile to offer value at the pumps to Kiwi families.
“Gull remains committed to doing that little bit extra by delaying the impact of the excise tax increase for as long as possible.”
At the majority of Gull
outlets where Gull controls retail prices, prices are as
follows:
| Fuel Grade | Unmanned Site | Manned Site |
| Regular (91 octane) | $2.019 | $2.049 |
| Force 10 (98 Octane) | $2.149 | $2.179 |
| Low Sulphur Diesel | $1.429 | $1.459 |
Motorists can make use of fuel dockets from Countdown to
increase savings further at the manned sites.
