– NZ Trade Support Announced
A bi-lateral Chamber of Commerce has been established to assist NZ firms trading throughout the wider Arab region and to facilitate access to NZ for Arab companies and investors.
The Arab-NZ Chamber of Commerce will be hosted by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and Chief Executive Michael Barnett stated that if NZ is to take advantage of the significant opportunities in the region NZ firms would benefit from a platform that could connect with a powerful network of Chambers of Commerce that assists the Arab Business world.
The Arab-NZ Chamber of Commerce intends to provide a range of seminars and advice to support NZ firms and to facilitate visiting Arab Exporters and investors accessing NZ opportunities.
Founding Directors Norm Morgan and Trevor Burgess, Directors of Tradex, welcomed the move suggesting it will help NZ regain some of the first mover advantage NZ enjoyed in the past.
