Guardian Trust Granted Licence To Operate As A Trustee And Statutory Supervisor

Guardian Trust was yesterday granted a full Trustees and Statutory Supervisors licence by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA).

The licence is only granted to those trustee firms that can show “every director and senior manager is of good character, that they are registered on the Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR), that they have the relevant experience, skills and qualifications to do the job, and robust and detailed procedures for ensuring compliance of each supervised interest”.

The Trust Company, the parent company of Guardian Trust, is a leading trustee in New Zealand, Australia and Singapore.
