Taranaki - So Proud They Want to Share It

Waikato’s neighbouring province is gearing up to show off to thousands of visitors to the Waikato Home & Garden Show.

Regional development agency, Venture Taranaki will present a tasty tempter of the many events, attractions and businesses that make up the region over four days from Thursday October 4th.

' The Taranaki Zone' is set to showcase some of the region's major features including the Powerco Taranaki Garden Spectacular the Taranaki Fringe Garden Festival and New Zealand’s oldest craft brewery, Mikes Mild Ale whose new ‘Illegitimate Bastard Sons’ range of non-organic beers alongside their certified organic range is picked to be a winner.
Also on show are the Taranaki Aviation Transport and Technology Museum TATATM and a pre-launch taster to the exciting new 'ride the rails' excursion along the unique Forgotten World Highway, 'Forgotten World Adventures'.
From the region’s magnificent mountain to its spectacular surf coast, visitors to the Show are bound to be tempted by what to see and do in Taranaki according to Show organiser Graham Hannah.

“Without a doubt it's a beautiful region with an enormous amount to offer visitors. The gorgeous gardens are legendary of course but its vibrant arts scene, gourmet cafés and restaurants, museums and galleries some visitors to the Show may not be aware of. This is a fantastic initiative by Venture Taranaki and we know it will attract a lot of attention,” he said.

There’s so much happening in Taranaki that we thought we’d come and share it with visitors to the Waikato Home and Garden Show,” says Paul Stancliffe, of Venture Taranaki. “The Taranaki Zone will showcase some of the best, newest, tastiest and most entertaining reasons to come and visit the region.”

Mike’s Organic Brewery are attending the show for the third time this year.
“We’ve found the previous two Shows to be excellent with many visitors visiting us at the brewery Tasting Room Cafe’. Mike’s will also be promoting its sixth Annual Oktoberfest held on the last Saturday of Oktober at the brewery.
