New Appointment at BDO New Zealand

BDO New Zealand has appointed David O’Connor as new chairman of the accounting and advisory firm’s National Management Board.
Currently Auckland Senior Audit Partner and International Liaison Partner, David has extensive experience in assurance and corporate finance, and is a licensed auditor under the new Financial Markets Authority Audit regime.
David has more than 27 years’ experience working in high-level roles within the BDO network, including several years in the international firm’s London offices, becoming a partner with predecessor firm Spicer & Oppenheim in 1998.
Active in the community, David is currently President of the Auckland Northern Club and a board member of the Auckland Deafness Research Foundation, and the Auckland Catholic Diocese.
David succeeds former BDO National Management Board Chairperson Colin Christie.
