Two Mums Set To Evolve The Daily Deal Website Industry
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Two Mums
Set To Evolve The Daily Deal Website
Industry
Targeting Mums, giving away a percentage of every deal to charity and giving businesses a better deal
Two Auckland mums have set their sights high,
taking on the Daily Deal Industry but giving it a good old
fashion New Zealand twist! The new daily deal site just for
Mums will provide family focused products and services at
heavily discounted prices and the twist is that a portion of
every deal goes to charity, which means with every great
deal subscribers do a good deed too. Businesses will also
get a better deal from this new site, their commission rates
are cheaper and they won’t be locked into long term
contracts.
Michelle McMurtry and Melanie Travers were both subscribers to a good few of the main daily deal websites but saw a distinct gap in their offering for family focused products and services. “I just wanted half price nappies” said Michelle, “not flash hotels that I can’t afford and don’t have time to go to”. And so began their dream of juggling their own business from home, working around their families.
Both Michelle and Melanie have two children each, under three years of age. Both are passionate about evolving the Daily Deal Industry in New Zealand and bringing affordable family focused products and services to every day mums, like themselves. “The difference with our offering is that we are targeting a niche part of the market…not just anyone and everyone. We want to make a difference in our own communities too we’ll donate a percentage of our profits from every deal to charity.” Says Melanie “and in addition we are offering businesses a much better deal than other sites in New Zealand. We’ll have lower commission rates, a targeted audience and better terms. Currently companies get signed into contracts saying they can’t list deals for up to three months with other sites. While we agree, the deal needs to be exclusive and not run elsewhere at the same time, we also think that businesses have every right to choose when and how they will advertise, without such extreme conditions”.
Keep an eye on Daily Mums. They are here to give everyone a better daily deal experience.
