Market update: Convention Centre Precinct RFPs, EOIs
CHRISTCHURCH CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT UNIT
Market Update #5
November 2, 2012
For Immediate Release
The Christchurch Central Development Unit and Christchurch City Council are seeking an adviser to develop a detailed business case for the city’s new Convention Centre Precinct.
A Request for Proposal (RFP) went out this week asking for proposals for the preparation of the business case for the Precinct, which is one of the priority projects in the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan.
The detailed business case sought will build on work already done in the Recovery Plan.
The RFP can now be viewed at www.gets.govt.nz. Responses to the RFP are due by 14 November.
Meanwhile, Expressions of Interest (EOI) are still being sought from groups outlining proposed design, build, finance, maintenance and operation of the Convention Centre Precinct.
These EOIs must be submitted by 9 November. The intention is for the Precinct facilities to be open for business by March 2017.
