Turners and Growers Appoints Deputy Chairman
Turners and Growers Limited announced today the appointment of Board Member Sir John Anderson to the position of Deputy Chairman, effective immediately.
Sir John Anderson was appointed to the Board of Turners and Growers in April and currently serves as an Independent Director.
Board Chairman and BayWa CEO, Klaus Lutz welcomes Sir John Anderson to the role of Deputy Chair.
“Sir John brings extensive governance experience to the position and will continue to provide strategic guidance to the Turners and Growers management. He has led transformational processes within a number of large commercial organisations and his leadership is valued as the company moves forward with its new global direction,” says Mr Lutz.
Sir John Anderson currently serves as Chairman of Steel & Tube Holdings Limited, the New Zealand Venture Investment Fund, PGG Wrightson and NPT Limited and serves as a Director on the Boards of Commonwealth Bank of Australia and NZIER.
Sir John was formerly Chief Executive of the ANZ National Bank and held advisory and governance roles for successive governments through the 1980s and 1990s. He received the 1990 Commemoration Medal for Services to New Zealand and was knighted in 1994.
