Market Update #8 - Convention Centre Precinct EOIs
CHRISTCHURCH CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT UNIT
Market Update #8
December 18, 2012
For Immediate Release
The Christchurch Central Development Unit received a total of 22 Expressions of Interest (EOI) in the Convention Centre Precinct.
Of those, 12 conformed to the mandatory requirements of the EOI.
Today we have notified five submitters, comprising a mixture of domestic and international participants, that they have been shortlisted for involvement in the next phase of the process.
CCDU is now in the process of completing a detailed business case for the Convention Centre Precinct.
During the course of the business case development, CCDU will decide what the appropriate next steps for the procurement process will be.
At that point, it is likely that CCDU will re-engage with short listed submitters and undertake a further evaluation of their EOI responses, informed by a better understanding of the preferred procurement methodology.
