UK Partner for HotRot Technology as Part of Global Expansion
A new commercial
partnership in the UK has been formed by Christchurch-based
Hot Rot Organic Solutions, enhancing its already successful
composting technologies being marketed globally in the
organic waste treatment sector.
BioWatt now assumes the primary responsibility for all HotRot business development and technical support activities in the UK and Eire, as HotRot’s licensed technology partner in the region, supported by HotRot’s own team out of New Zealand.
Bruce Foulds, Executive Chairman of HotRot said, “The establishment of an independent engineering operation in the UK will provide the platform for a further stimulus to the development of the UK market for HotRot technology through a dedicated team that has the greatest level of experience in the organic waste treatment market place”.
BioWatt has been established by James Lloyd, James Spreull and Iain Steel, former senior executives of HotRot Organic Solutions in the UK, and incoming investors, including BioWatt Chairman Michael Roberts.
“We have a pipeline of very exciting projects in the UK region which require a level of investment in engineering and personnel that BioWatt has agreed to make, and we look forward to a long and successful association,” Mr Foulds said.
“We are following a global strategy to establish similar strategic relationships in all our major international markets.”
CEO of BioWatt, James Lloyd said, “The partnership with HotRot will establish an independent UK-based organisation dedicated to providing and developing expertise in the planning, construction and operation of IVC and Tunnel composting operations.
“The agreement with HotRot will provide continuity and a single point of contact for new HotRot composting projects in the UK and Eire. Our relationship with HotRot and the strong pipeline of specialist composting projects is a cornerstone for the rapid growth of BioWatt in the UK, building further upon the recent announcement regarding agreement with one of Europe’s largest Biogas Developers, agri.capital, to develop 50MW of anaerobic digestion capacity in the UK.”
Mr Lloyd said the importance of implementing modern waste management strategies cannot be overemphasised.
“The initiatives
by Government and others to create a recycling culture are
vital to the future.”
“Our parent company, BioWatt
Group, envisages this agreement with HotRot will enable the
development of a new skill set using best practice
technologies to ensure that the opportunities in this sector
of industry are
maximised.”
