Zany Zeus Launches New Website For Customers Nationwide

Award-winning cheese maker Zany Zeus has launched a new website www.zanyzeus.co.nz enabling customers throughout the country to purchase its products online for the first time.

The family-run business is owned and operated by artisan cheese-maker Michael Matsis and his sister Meropi. For the past 12 years the company has been producing top quality, boutique cheeses including halloumi and feta which are distributed to hundreds of cafes and restaurants throughout the Wellington region.

“We’ve been completely blown away by the amazing response we have had following the opening of our first retail store this year and so felt it was the perfect time to make our range available to people online. More and more people are contacting us from all over the country wanting to buy our range and now they will be able to do so at the touch of button,” said Michael Matsis.

For the first time, fans of Zany Zeus across the North and South Island will be able purchase online retail sized packages of its well known range of organic cheese and cultured products – crème fraiche, mascarpone, cream cheese and sour cream – and have them delivered to their own doorstep.

A new range of Zany Zeus smoked cheese which includes smoked brinza, smoked ricotta, smoked paneer as well as smoked yoghurt - the first ‘yoghurt’ of its kind available in New Zealand will also be available to purchase online. Customers will be given a description of each product as well as food matches and recipe ideas.

Of Greek heritage, Michael launched Zany Zeus in 2000 with his mother Lefki Matsis after several years researching and experimenting with the art of cheese-making. Michael has also picked up numerous Cuisine Champions of Cheese Awards throughout the years.
