CodeBlue appoints new Wellington General Manager

CodeBlue appoints new Wellington General Manager

Auckland, 7 March 2013 - New Zealand owned IT services company CodeBlue has appointed former Palmerston North City Council Information Manager Brent White to the position of General Manager, Wellington, responsible for leading CodeBlue’s team in the lower North Island.

Prior to his role at Palmerston North City Council, Brent White was General Manager of Managed Services at Fujitsu, Regional Head of Solutions Delivery at Gen-i and Manager of Infrastructure Services at Computerland New Zealand.

CodeBlue Executive Director Ken Davis says Brent White brings great breadth and depth of experience to the Wellington General Manager role, both as a customer of IT services companies and as a senior manager at some of New Zealand’s best-known IT companies.

“We are delighted that Brent has accepted the leadership role at CodeBlue in Wellington. We particularly value his experience in developing and managing an IT strategy for Palmerston North City Council. This gives him a unique perspective on what really matters to a customer, and an ability to understand the challenges they face and respond accordingly. His experience from Computerland in managing a very rapidly growing IT services business will also be invaluable as CodeBlue goes through a similar growth dynamic in the Wellington market,” Ken Davis said.

Brent White says he has kept track of CodeBlue’s growth over the years and is excited to now be a part of the plans to grow the business in Wellington. “It’s a challenge building a company into a successful market player but it is something I have done effectively before. In choosing CodeBlue, I knew I’d be coming into an organisation that is really prepared for growth,” White says.

White says he sees a big gap in the Wellington market for the services CodeBlue provides. “There are very few IT managed services providers who truly provide enterprise-level IT services for smaller to medium sized companies. Many firms say they do, but they don’t deliver – whereas CodeBlue does,” White says.

“Furthermore, a lot of businesses in this region are not getting the level of service they should expect. They want great service, simple contracts that are easy to understand, transparency and accountability and these are things that CodeBlue does very well,” White concludes.
