Day of Indulgence Ahead For Wellington Mums

Wellington mums can look forward to being treated like a movie star this Mother’s Day.

Wellington icon The Roxy Cinema is putting on a special brunch-style High Tea at 10.30am just for mums.

For $25 a head (or $30 with a glass of Italian bubbles), Wellington mums will be treated to a mix of dainty sweets and classic style brunch bites. Coco at the Roxy Head Chef Nic Spicer and his team will also be cooking up some delicious chocolate treats to sweeten the day of all mums (and their followers).

“Mother’s Day is a chance to indulge the women in our lives, and treat them like the movie stars they are. As a mother myself, I would love to be waited on, and wined and dined on this special day. The Roxy is right in the heart of the movie Mecca that is Miramar, Wellington. What better place to be treated like a film star than here?” says Valentina Dias, co-owner of The Roxy.

The Roxy has a double pass to its Mother’s Day Special to giveaway.

The recipient (and their ‘plus-one’) can look forward to dining on High Tea at Coco at the Roxy at 10.30am while supping a glass of Italian bubbles, before heading into one of the Roxy Cinema’s theatres, designed exquisitely in 1930s art deco to watch a public screening of the hilarious feel-good film Song for Marion, featuring Vanessa Redgrave, Gemma Arterton, and Christopher Eccleston at 12.30pm.

The package-for-two is valued at $92 (and is a wonderful gift for mum!).
