Local businesswoman, Tracy Power, has placed Nelson’s iconic Woman Beauty Day Spa, on the market.

Mrs Power, who has always been a trailblazer in the beauty industry, has been offering luxurious treatments and products from the beautifully restored 1860’s villa, Mabin House on Nile St, since 2005. She has built a successful team of professional therapists, who bring with them much knowledge and experience learned all over New Zealand and internationally.

Always one to relish new challenges, Mrs Power says “I am immensely proud of what I and my team have accomplished in building Woman Beauty into Nelson’s foremost day spa” she continues, “I have been offered some exciting opportunities for work and study within the wellness industry and the time has come for me to hand over the reins to someone with new passion and vitality”.

Real estate agent, Nick Lambert, says “this is a great opportunity for someone to purchase this established business, put in their own personality, and make it their own.”

A landscape report in 2012 confirmed the steady but strong growth of the beauty industry in New Zealand. According to Statistics NZ Business Statistics (ANZSIC06), in December 2010 there were 3,850 businesses in the Hairdressing and Beauty Services Industry. This represented a 12% growth from 2006, well above the average business growth in New Zealand.
