Beca appoints second independent
director
International professional services consultancy Beca, headquartered in New Zealand, has announced the appointment of Catherine Drayton to its board of directors.
Ms Drayton is the second independent director on the board of the employee-owned company and is based in Canterbury. She has a distinguished track record in the finance sector, largely with professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she held a range of senior positions across Europe culminating in the role of partner in charge of the Assurance and Advisory practice for Central and Eastern Europe.
"Catherine’s wide-ranging international experience will be a valuable addition as we look to progressively strengthen the board,” said Beca Group chairman Richard Aitken. “Her understanding of emerging markets allied to her passion for engineering and its related disciplines forms a natural alignment with Beca’s growth aspirations.”
Ms Drayton currently serves as a Councillor of the University of Canterbury and holds a number of company directorships, including Christchurch International Airport, Ngai Tahu Holdings, the Christchurch Earthquake Recovery Authority and the New Zealand Hockey Federation.
