Rackspace appoints NZ and Australian Director & GM
Rackspace appoints Director & General Manager for Australia and New Zealand
Auckland, New Zealand - June 4,
2013 – Rackspace®
Hosting (NYSE: RAX) today announced the appointment of
Angus Dorney as Director & General Manager for Australia and
New Zealand.
Dorney will be responsible for
continuing the growth of the regional operations, including
the new Sydney data centre, and driving uptake of
Rackspace's Fanatical Support ®, public
cloud, private cloud, dedicated hosting and managed
virtualisation offerings.
Dorney moves into this role from his current position as Director of Operations, Rackspace Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining Rackspace, Dorney worked in a variety of multinational and regional companies. He spent five years at EDS in a range of roles covering sales, marketing, strategy and operations.
Dorney also fulfilled a number of management roles at Blue Star Group, including NSW General Manager. In his time at Blue Star, Dorney was involved in the development and rollout of several high profile digital transformation projects across the business.
Dorney will be replacing Mark Randall, who has decided to leave Rackspace to pursue other opportunities after seven years with the business.
