Peppers Parehua Martinborough Olive Harvest Festival Events

PEPPERS PAREHUA MARTINBOROUGH HOSTS OLIVE HARVEST FESTIVAL SHOWCASE EVENTS

5 June 2013: Luxury retreat, Peppers Parehua Martinborough is hosting some showcase events during this month's inaugural Olive Harvest Festival.

The two-day Martinborough festival is being touted as a 'gastronomic affair' and Peppers Parehua is central to it all as the venue for the masterclass and workshop components, which will be a focus of the June 29-30 event.

Led by international olive oil judge Margaret Edwards the masterclass will offer an insight into blending olive oil, and workshops include cooking with olive oil, growing olives and the fruit's beauty and health benefits as showcased by industry experts. These include local grower Helen Meehan from Olivo and local chef Travis Clive-Griffin from Bar Salute restaurant in Greytown, South Wairarapa demonstrating his Mediterranean inspired tapas.

Peppers Parehua General Manager Simon Tocker says, "The Wairarapa is well known for its award winning wines and the region's olive oil is also outstanding, so it's timely that 'all things olive oil' are celebrated traditionally, at the time of the annual harvest.”

The lodge's Terrace Room is the perfect setting for the classes with its open outlook and deck flowing out into the garden and of course Peppers Parehua is the perfect place to stay as well.

The lodge has a great Harvest Festival deal starting at $205 pp twin share, including Festival tickets and a full cooked breakfast*. Visit www.peppers.co.nz/parehua for bookings and further details.
