Auckland Airport to host Australasian Airport Real Estate Conference this week
Australasia’s premium airport real estate conference will be held from today to 8 June at Auckland Airport. The conference will bring together property executives from airports across Australasia.
Delegates from Australian airports will be able to see and learn first-hand about the ambitious redevelopment plan currently being undertaken at Auckland Airport with best practice examples of airport city development.
The goal of the conference is to allow airport owners, investors and regulators to come together to share ideas and learnings on the industry. It is also the first time the conference has been held outside of Australia.
Peter Alexander, General Manager of Property at Auckland Airport says it is an exciting opportunity for Auckland Airport to present the potential of the airport district and showcase the exciting projects currently being rolled out.
“We are delighted to host such a prestigious group of delegates as part of the conference. It gives us an opportunity to share our vision for the Auckland Airport Business District and gather insights from a group of experienced practitioners. We are extremely proud of what we are trying to achieve here and excited to present our future plans”.
Auckland Airport currently has 443 hectares of land available for development with an exciting development plan in the pipeline encompassing retail, commercial and open air leisure projects.
The conference currently in its eighth year will be held at Auckland Airport’s iconic Abbeville Estate. Delegates will be welcomed with a powhiri at Auckland Airport’s marae and will also be given a full tour of Auckland Airport’s property portfolio.
