Farro Fresh Teams Up With Green Meadows Beef

Farro Fresh Teams Up With Green Meadows Beef to Bring 100% Grass-Fed Taranaki Angus Beef to Auckland Food Lovers

Gourmet food store, Farro Fresh, has joined forces with Green Meadows Beef, to bring 100% grass-fed, Angus beef direct from the Carey family’s South Taranaki farm to Auckland food lovers. Green Meadows Beef will be launched at an in-store tasting event at the Grey Lynn Farro Fresh store on Friday, 21 June from 11am to 3pm, with a second in-store tasting event scheduled for Saturday, 13 July. Green Meadows Beef scotch fillet and premium Angus mince will initially only be available at the Grey Lynn store with the products and number of stores likely to increase over the coming months.

Green Meadows Beef Director, Nick Carey, explains that Farro Fresh is an ideal partner for the Green Meadows Beef brand, which prides itself on providing New Zealanders with healthier, tastier and more ethically produced beef.

“Farro Fresh shoppers are discerning shoppers. They want the highest quality, best tasting food and they are also interested in knowing the story behind it and where it has come from,” explains Nick. “We’re looking forward to making it even easier for Farro Fresh customers to find top-quality, grass-fed New Zealand Angus beef and showing them why Green Meadows Beef is superior to anything you’d find in a regular supermarket.”

The Carey family founded Green Meadows Beef after realising that the best New Zealand beef is exported and never made available to the local market. All animals are farmed ethically and fed their natural diet. They receive the best of care, which includes drinking household quality water from troughs filled by the local Cold Creek community water scheme. The family business prides itself on providing customers with full food traceability. They showed their commitment to this by launching their own butchery in April 2013.

About Green Meadows Beef
Green Meadows Beef is a New Zealand, family owned producer of export quality, 100% grass-fed beef. Green Meadows Beef is a true family effort, led by Michael and Margy Carey, and their sons, Nick Carey, Brent Carey and Karl Carey. After 30 years in the New Zealand dairy industry, Michael was drawn to the opportunities presented by farming premium grass-fed beef. His extensive knowledge of animal management is complemented by Nick Carey’s business and marketing expertise.

The 420-acre Green Meadows Beef farm is located in Coastal Taranaki. Green Meadows Beef products can be purchased online at www.greenmeadowsbeef.co.nz and delivered free of charge throughout New Zealand.
