New Zealand’s first taxi app ‘cabchooze’ launches its Beta version in Auckland

Today, New Zealand’s first free Taxi hailing app launched its beta version, aiming to make taxi ordering easier, faster, and cheaper in Auckland.

100% New Zealand owned and operated the cabchooze app is free for riders.

Its developers are lauding it to be the first of its kind in the world and trust that it will transform the Taxi hailing market in New Zealand. With its Beta launch in Auckland, cabchooze expects to revolutionise the traditional taxi ordering style through smartphones.

70% of the time Taxis are seen parked or cruising empty looking for passengers or running empty to grab a place in busy ranks. We have built an IT platform that creates a virtual shopfront to connecting Customer with closest Taxi drivers in real-time, says BK.Sharma, Project Director.

The App user friendly interface send the user’s taxi request to multiple Taxi drivers, who in turn bid fare & estimated time to pick-up the user. cabchooze app then provides the rider with multiple options to choose from, based on taxi rating, fare and earliest availability of taxi. cabchooze rider can also view Taxi approaching towards them in real time and also the route of their intended journey using the map feature in the app. After the completion of ride, rider and the Taxi driver has the option to rate each other’s experience.

Available on iPhone and Android, the app will benefit riders to get better price and faster service. Beta version users of cabchooze app get $25 worth of e-Taxi coupons which they can use when ordering a taxi using cabchooze app. cabchooze app has been designed to give full control of the ride to the user. User can choose the price, turnaround time most suited to them. Safety of the user is of utmost important to cabchooze, therefore all our service providing members are licenced taxi drivers. ” says Mr Sharma.
