Benjamin Black Goldsmiths Opens in Nelson
Benjamin Black Goldsmiths, a fine jewellery design studio helmed by Nelson born 24-year old master jeweller Benjamin Clark, has officially opened in Nelson today, presenting a new and unique experience for local jewellery lovers and visitors to the region.
Combining the finest elements of classical and contemporary design, Mr Clark says in addition to displaying a collection of his signature works, the studio will also provide a custom jewellery design service, where diamond rings and dress jewellery is hand crafted specifically for the individual.
Mr Clark says the establishment is focused on a personalised service based on old fashioned values.
“I wanted Benjamin Black Goldsmiths to bring back the old fashioned values of yesteryear, where people experience and enjoy the design and creation process alongside the jeweller, from the initial concept through to the finished product, so we have established the Nelson studio and workshop to provide this level of quality personal service,” says Mr Clark.
“We also offer watch and clock repairs, plus a selection of exclusive antique pocket watches and 19th century French clocks, provided by my father Rod Clark, who is one of Nelson’s most established watchmakers.
Benjamin Black Goldsmiths is located at 176 Bridge Street, Nelson. The opening hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Wednesday, 9am to 7pm on Thursdays, 9am to 5pm on Fridays, 10am to 3pm on Saturdays, and by appointment only on Sundays.
