ACC appoints GM People and Communications
ACC chief executive Scott Pickering has appointed Debbie Barrott as General Manager People and Communications. Ms Barrott has been acting in the role since November last year.
“Staff capability and good communications are crucial to lifting ACC's performance, and to making us an organisation that consistently delivers high-quality customer service,” said Mr Pickering.
“Debbie has been instrumental in leading a number of significant initiatives currently underway to improve ACC’s communications with customers, and to put greater focus on our internal culture, including staff learning, qualifications, and recognition.
“I am delighted Debbie will be able to see these projects to fruition. Her appointment is another positive step forward for the corporation as we look to rebuild public trust and confidence."
Ms Barrott joined ACC in March 1999. She has held a number of roles within the corporation, including as head of Business Solutions prior to acting in the People and Communications role. Before joining ACC, Ms Barrott held customer-focused management roles at Telecom New Zealand.
