Kura partners committed to Sealord
Following recent media speculation, Kura Ltd Chairman Whaimutu Dewes, has rejected suggestions 50% shareholder Nissui is considering exiting the company and its ownership of Sealord.
“Recent media reports about the difficulties of Sealord’s Argentinian business have incorrectly suggested Nissui is seeking to exit the Sealord business.
“That is quite wrong. What is more, Kura’s shareholders are supportive of the work being done to address the issues in the Argentinian business.” said Mr Dewes.
Kura Ltd, was established in 2001, and is the holding company of Sealord Group Ltd. It is jointly owned by Aotearoa Fisheries Ltd on behalf of iwi and Japanese company, Nippon Suisan Kaisha (Nissui).
