Genesis Energy unconnected to Solid Energy Huntly announcement
Genesis Energy confirmed today that its on-going operations at Huntly Power Station are unconnected to Solid Energy’s announcement regarding its Huntly East Mine.
Genesis Energy remains a significant customer of Solid Energy and receives coal from the Solid Energy Rotowaro mine. Genesis Energy does not take coal from the Huntly East Mine as that coal is used primarily in steel manufacturing and does not meet the coal specifications required for the Huntly Power Station.
