Shane Warne delivers a flying visit to Moa
Legendary Australian cricketer Shane Warne has always enjoyed a good drop and has been in Blenheim today sampling some of the best craft beer New Zealand has to offer.
Warne was invited to New Zealand by good mate and Moa breweries chief executive Geoff Ross.
Ross said Warne had been introduced to the brand by another cricketing legend, Sir Ian Botham, who is an ambassador for Moa in the UK.
The trip was an impromptu flying visit and a chance for Warne to learn more about the range of Moa beer and tour the brewery in Blenheim.
“Shane loves craft beer and is all about quality over quantity these days. I’ve been telling him he needed to come out and have a look around Blenheim and the craft scene we’ve got going down here some time so it was good to actually get him on a plane and out here”, Ross says.
