James Parsons Beef+Lamb Chair-Elect
Federated Farmers Meat & Fibre is congratulating Northland’s James Parsons on becoming Beef+Lamb New Zealand’s chairman-elect.
“James Parsons represents a new generation of farmers and he will do well in this position as successor to Mike Petersen, who has been appointed New Zealand’s Special Agricultural Trade Envoy,” says Jeanette Maxwell, Federated Farmers Meat & Fibre chairperson.
“I am also pleased to say that James came through Federated Farmers Meat & Fibre before being elected to the Board of Beef+Lamb [then Meat & Wool], in 2009.
“As a past New Zealand Nuffield Farming Scholarship recipient, James Parsons has studied issues within the farming sector and this will no doubt help him going forward.
“We have of course some very large challenges to face up to as an industry and Federated Farmers is confident we will continue the working relationship we currently enjoy with Beef+Lamb New Zealand,” Jeanette Maxwell concluded.
