Keep track of your monthly cycle with Laze

Keep track of your monthly cycle with Laze

Period and fertility tracking? There's a beautiful app for that!

A new iOS app called Laze helps women to keep track of their monthly cycle in an easy and stylish way. Entering details of your last period and average cycle length will provide you with a calender of all of your periods to come as well as an overview of your fertile periods. This makes the app ideal for women who are trying to get pregnant.

Fertility and period tracking apps are already widely available in the App Store, but generally speaking they tend to be pretty ugly, too pink or overcomplicated. Laze aims to solve all this. With a fresh and clean iOS 7 design style the app looks both pretty and modest, not drawing any attention to the fact that you are tracking something as private as your period.

Quantified self apps have become a major trend over the past few months, leaving lots of people tracking medical data like exercise or nutrition. Tracking you fertility seems like a logical next step, especially for women dedicated to getting pregnant, or couples experiencing troubles with fertility.

An estimated figure of 7,3 million Americans have trouble conceiving, worldwide the rate is about 8 to 12%. Recent studies show these numbers are expected to rise as a result of modern lifestyle and social changes.

Laze follows the advise of family doctors to start keeping track of your menstrual cycle and body temperature if you should fail to conceive over a longer period of time. The app will show you your cycle day as well as a temperature curve on the home screen, making it easier to dertermine your fertile window and increase your chances of getting pregnant. You can also log the use of folic acid and intimicy.

However, Laze is just as useful for busy ladies that tend to forget all about their monthly cycle: Within 3 seconds you'll know when your period is up next so you can plan around it.

Laze is available in the App Store worldwide, for a introductory price of $0,99.
