TCA appoints new Chairman

The Chief Executive of Public Trust, Graeme Hansen. has been appointed Chairman ofthe Trustee Corporations Association of New Zealand Inc (TCA), for a two year term.

Graeme has an extensive business background as a board member and Chief Executive, both in New Zealand and overseas where he was Chief Executive of companies in the Barclays Banking Group in Australia. Canada and the UK. ln these roles, Graeme has demonstrated notable leadership as a champion of change and transformation for business improvement.

He replaces Clynton Hardy, from Trustees Executors who has been Chairman for the last six years.

TCA is a long established association Trustee Corporations. Members include Public Trust, Trustees Executors Limited, the New Zealand Guardian Trust Company Limited, Covenant Trustee Company Limited and the New Maori Trustee, Te Tumu Paeroa.

TCA maintains relationships with government ministries. regulatory bodies and financial sector groups. TCA sets minimum standards as practice guidelines for the performance of Corporate Trustees - standards for integrity, competence. financial capacity, internal controls, powers and duties. standards for conflict of interest management and for reports from scheme operators.
