Rebuild partners pulling out all stops to avoid hitting the wall
Organisations racing against time
to finish Canterbury rebuild projects partner with iViis to
streamline and accelerate their
processes
Christchurch, New Zealand. 30
September 2013.
With fast approaching deadlines for completing multiple rebuild projects, several companies involved in the rebuild are turning to “ViisConnect” – a home-grown solution by Christchurch based iViis Ltd. that connects IT systems at insurance companies, claim processing agencies and building management / project management offices (PMOs).
Anna Williams, Business Analyst at Southern Response says, “We’ve got a responsibility to our customers, the government and the tax payer to ensure we meet our obligations within the set timeframe. I am all for a solution that makes things work as smoothly as possible, and iViis gives us that”.
A number of companies including Southern Response Earthquake Services (Claims Management), Arrow International (Building Project Management) and Stonewood Homes (Construction) are already using the solution and reaping the benefits of the resulting transparency and efficiencies.
“It pulls together all the relevant data in one secure place and improves reliability of our reporting. We don't depend on data entry into multiple spreadsheets anymore. Our current project with iViis will also help us forecast timeframes for completion of projects and identify potential bottlenecks in advance so that we can plan the required resourcing”, says Anna.
Nick Shier, CEO of iViis says, “While most stakeholders involved in the rebuild have their own sophisticated systems, most are built do deal with business as usual, which is typically a few large and complex building projects.”
Nick says successful implementations of ViisConnect have caught the attention of a number of Insurers, PMOs, Builders and claims processing agencies. For the Christchurch rebuild it is enabling companies to link staff, contractors and suppliers together to ensure projects are well-coordinated and customers are kept satisfied.
“In Canterbury, these organisations are faced with a huge volume of relatively small, simpler projects, all of which need to be completed before a specified date and we’re helping them extract maximum efficiencies out of their existing systems without investing huge sums of money or time,” concludes Mr Shier.
