Free Tradies’ Technology Toolbox expo with Astill Hawke

Free Tradies’ Technology Toolbox expo with Astill Hawke

To combat the mystery, frustration and fear of the cloud and the latest apps Astill Hawke & Associates chartered accountants is hosting a free expo Tradies’ Technology Toolbox for hands-on business people such as plumbers, electricians and painters.

Kirsten Hawke director of Astill Hawke and Associates says kids take to new technology like ducks to water but really squeezing the full potential out of a smart phone or tablet takes some experience.

“Schools encourage students to bring their devices into the classroom because they recognise the importance of using IT for more than social media and games,” says Mrs Hawke.

“We work with tradies every day who want to know how to use new technology in their business without wasting time or getting frustrated working it out on their own.”

As well as providing the perfect excuse for buying the latest tablet or phone, numerous cloud-based software and apps are saviours to small business-owners who often slave away at paperwork at night or in the weekend.

Almost any type of trade business that is mobile and has a number of clients will benefit from the cloud software expo designed to showcase the latest business gizmos.

Cloud software provides cost effective administration systems that are available anywhere at any time, which saves time and money.

The success of the technology is showcased by Xero, New Zealand’s darling of the share market that is rapidly developing its export market.
